I have to very stupid questions for you guys today.
First: Are we (or am I?) allowed to follow someone for oppositelock to get them out of the grey?
Second: I have a coolant leak on my '98 sentra. The fluid gets to the ground at the right front, a few inches behind the bumper. And ideas as to where it's leaking from besides the radiator?
Here's an alfa for your time.

First:
Second:
Could be at either end of a radiator hose, or your heater hoses (should be at least two), or the water pump. Also, it could be running along a hose or line and just dropping off the right side of your undercarriage because it's at a low point. The best thing to do would be to examine the hoses for leaks or evaporated coolant.

Okay. Once I'm off work and home, I'll take a look and see what I can find. I'll have to pull the plastic overs so it'll take a bit. Good think I like spending time under there. :)

I know I have the capability, I am wondering if I have the permission.

How bizzare.
Edit: I can too.
We should capitalize on this power before the old ones learn of its existence!

My first thought was the water pump as well. As a past owner of 2 Nissans let me say they do not seem to have a good understanding of how to build water pimps that don't leak annoyingly out of the blue

I'll check that too. :)
I also have a really small oil leak. (I don't think I tightened the drain plug enough.)

I thought we could? I can. Well I could, before I had to get a new Kinja and can't into authorships.

I believe clicking the "follow for Oppositelock" button will get a commenter out of the gray and allow them to comment and reply to comments in Oppositelock, but I do not believe it will give them posting abilities.

Well no, but I didn't think that was what he was asking.

I'm a mod - I haven't the time to worry about the wants of the little people. Now get out of my way!

Is that it? I don't want to get myself or anyone else in trouble. But some people who post often are still in the grey, and I wanted to help if I could.

Hi guy - if you follow people for oppositelock, it should allow them to comment in threads without being in the gray, but will not allow them actual authorship privileges. As of now, go for it.

You should refer them to any post tagged with club openings .

So it's kosher to just go to the latest club openings post, no matter how old it is?

Authors are able to follow/unfollow commenters on behalf of 'Oppositelock'. 'Following' moves a commenter from a 'grey' to a 'black'. We trust authors enough to not need our permission to 'follow' a commenter – we wouldn't have made you authors if we didn't trust you in the first place. However, any author found to be abusing their posting access to mess with other commenter's status on Oppo will have their authorship revoked, and possibly be banned from the forum.

Also, when this feature was revised, there were some minor conversations then: http://oppositelock.jalopnik.com/oppo-psa-follo…
(still kicking myself for missing an honest and well intentioned reference to "RTFM")
